Kinesiology "encompasses holistic health disciplines which use the gentle art of muscle monitoring to access information about a person's well-being. Originating in the 1970's, it combines Western techniques and Eastern wisdom to promote physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. Kinesiology identifies the elements which inhibit the body's natural internal energies and accessing the life enhancing potential within the individual". (Definition approved by the Australian Kinesiology Association).
Kinesiology can be described as the science of studying how muscles work and move in the body, however it is much more than that. Kinesiology is a holistic method of balancing the body physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is a non-invasive and versatile system of complementary health care which enables you to take control of your own healing.

A person can be thought of as operating within their "Triangle of Health" with each side representing one of the following: the physical body, the mental/emotional state, and the biochemical. In a healthy person this "Triangle of Health" can be seen as an equilateral triangle and with all sides in balance, there is spiritual wholeness. When you become unwell or stressed, the triangle is no longer equilateral and is unbalanced. One side of the triangle becomes longer than the others and another side becomes shorter. To help the triangle regain its shape, I use muscle monitoring to rebalance you. Muscle monitoring is a simple, painless technique which works with changes in muscle responses to determine what stresses are affecting you.
By using muscle monitoring as a biofeedback tool, I work with you to identify and rebalance issues such as pain, injuries, jaw and muscle discomfort, posture, co-ordination, food/chemical/environmental sensitivites, nutritional deficiencies, weight, addictions, candida, heavy metals, learning problems, vision and eyesight disorders, mood swings, fatigue, school or work problems, relationship difficulties, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, depression, sabotage programmes, and many other concerns.

With muscle monitoring any underlying problems regarding your health and wellbeing are identified and the method of rebalancing best suited to assist you is selected. When there is a stress in the body, a muscle that previously stayed "locked" (ie does not move from its monitoring position) will change and "unlock" (start moving). By following the way the msucle locks or unlocks, it is possible for you and I to identify what is affecting you and how best to assist your healing mechanism to activate.
I may use a variety of techniques to effect changes on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level. A physical imbalance may require stimulation of neurolymphatic, neurovascular or acupressure points, meridian lines, or the origins and insertions of the muscles. If there is a problem with nutrition or food, I am able to identify the foods needed for good health, foods causing a sensitivity or allergy, and rebalance you for food intolerances.

On an emotional or mental level, you may be suffering from low self esteem, fear, anxiety, sadness, or grief. To help rebalance you, I may use emotional stress release, identify and clear negative emotions, clear sabotage programmes on affirmations, age recess to the cause of the problem, and help you set goals.
A spiritual imbalance may appear as an attitude you have, energies affecting how you feel, a disconnection from your truth. I may need to rebalance your chakras, aura, or your body's energy field may need healing energy, colour, numerology, astrology, symbols, healing cards, crystals, or vibrational essences.
By understanding where your imbalance is happening, you re able to move from where you are to where you want to be physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
The origins of Kinesiology began in the 1960's in the USA with Dr George Goodheart who developed Applied Kinesiology for chiropractors. Dr John Thie, a fellow chiropractor, simplified Dr Goodheart's work and made it accessible for the general public to learn and use. This became known as Touch for Health and is the origin of all the current forms of Kinesiology. Since those early days and through a greal deal of ongoing research, the streams within Kinesiology have grown and of the many available, I have had training in the following modalities: Touch for Health, Kinergetics, Professional Kinesiology Practice, Counselling Kinesiology, Stress Indicator Point System, Body & Soul, Cyberkinetics, Three in One Concepts, Educating Alternatives, Past Life, Sports Hyperton-X, Sabotage Clearing and Goal Enhancement.

Testimonials
John Souter, Botany - Several years ago i injured my lower back while taking out a tree in the garden. Next morning I was unable to get out of bed, let alone walk. I was taken to the Doctor who confirmed I had injured my lower back. I was referred to a Physiotherapist then a Chiropractor and finally a masseuse who worked on my back for four hours and I could then at least walk. I returned to the masseuse every week for four weeks and there was some improvement. I did some simple back exercises and at last my life returned to something resembling "normal". I was still in constant pain, the only thing that varied was the degree. Some days were better than others but if I could get out of bed I counted that as a victory! Then I heard about Sherry Mead. I thought it sounded like rubbish and nearly dismissed the idea of Kinesiology. But I thought "What have I got to lose?" I went to see Sherry and she "did her stuff" for about an hour. I thanked her for her time and effort and left. On the way home it occurred to me that something was different. Something had changed. I no longer had pain in my back!! None!! My back is perfect now. Since my visit to Sherry I have had no pain at all and I am now able to do everything I used to. Thank you Sherry!!!

Julie-Ann B - I went to Sherry initially for a Money Balancing Session & enjoyed her unique approach so much that I have continued on for other sessions with different issues. I have found each session of great value as I have been letting go of blockages that I wasn’t even aware of at a subtle & gentle pace. I have changed my relationship & attitude to Money & so now find money easier to attract as well as being aware of various ways to save it. I loved being made aware of certain issues because at least then you know what you are dealing with instead of not knowing what, where or why. It is the way Sherry brings her intuition & classical training of various modalities that make her sessions so unique & powerful. Sherry then follows up with a caring & interested call to make sure you are okay. Sherry thank-you.
Melissa - I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions I had with you and felt the benefits for quite a long time. Thanks again for all your help.
ML - saw me for several sessions over a year and originally had body stiffness in her joints, low energy levels, felt physically weak and got tired easily, and had a gnawing pain in her left neck. She improved to such an extent that her neck and back felt better, her energy levels increased and she felt strong enough to start working in a job a few days a week.
KM - jaw was sore, heavy and ached when she walked. After the balance she commented that her jaw movement felt different and was holding in place. It felt loose before and now felt tighter.
DH - played Rugby League for the junior side of a Sydney team and wanted more energy and motivation to play harder. I found that several of his muscles were out of balance and that he was feeling indifference and rebalanced him for this. On his next visit he indicated that he was playing better and felt more energetic.
RF - had pain in his left shoulder and was unable to lift weights overhead. During the balance we found that he had first noticed this at work where he was under pressure to make deliveries and felt stress and frustration because they were understaffed and things were hectic. After the balance the pain disappeared and when I spoke to him a week later he mentioned that he had been to the gym and found that he was able to do the overhead lifts easily and with no pain.
NE - was having relationship difficulties with men and this was affecting her business. She also wanted to deal with sabotage programs and her weight. Over several sessions we were able to identify the sabotage programs that were affecting her and when I last saw her she had lost weight.
MS - was a professional musician who was suffering from performance anxieties which were affecting her playing. During the balance we set a goal and cleared the emotion affecting her. When I later spoke with her she said that she felt more confident while performing and as a result her performance was better.
TL - was allergic to perfumes, her shampoo and conditioner, and also to certain foods. Over several sessions we set some goals for her which were reinforced with affirmations and she found that she had less sensitivity to these allergens.
ZB - came to see me suffering from trepidation, anxiety, confusion, agorophobia and low energy levels. He had also developed a facial tick which caused him to grimace frequently. The balance revealed confusion and fear and a desire to revert to his childhood. After the balance he was calmer and his face had returned to normal with no grimacing.
DM - had left hip pain at the extremity and was unable to raise his leg high enough when doing martial arts. He had a previous history of a motor bike accident. He also had an arthritic fractured knee and lower back problems. During the balance we identified several emotions and cleared them as well as rebalancing his Quadriceps, Peroneus, Psoas, Teres Minor, Anterior Deltoid and Tensor Fascia Lata muscles. On his next visit he indicated he had improvement in his thigh and was able to bring his leg up to his chest and had more flexibility.
PM - had numbness and swelling in his lower jaw as well as pain in his teeth. Immediately after the balance the pain had gone and the numbness had reduced. Within two days both the numbness and swelling had gone.
JM - had eaten takeaway Chinese food which contained MSG. He felt uncomfortable in the stomach and had a headache. After the balance all symptoms were gone.
