and Meditation Skills
Managing a stressful lifestyle is an essential part of life today. Firstly,
we need to be able to recognise stress, then know how best to
manage it. This course is an introduction to a range of
relaxation techniques and provides opportunities to experience
a variety of relaxation and meditation tools. You will learn
how to identify stress in yourself and others, life tools for
minimising stress, physical and mental techniques for relaxation,
and different styles of meditation.
This course is offered for anyone wishing to learn how to relax
and meditate. It is also a prerequisite for Practice Management
2 which includes training on maintaining personal health and awareness. Students
wishing to obtain a certificate of competency will be asked to
complete an assignment that enables a deeper exploration of two
separate relaxation techniques of their choice.
